The Dock: Teen Spirit Summer Camp: 18th-19th July 2011
Music & Video Technology Summer Camp at the Dock Carrick on Shannon will take place on Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th July from 10am to 4pm each day. With an emphasis on having fun while learning new skills, this 2 day summer camp will provide participants with an introduction to the basics of recording sounds and making music of all sorts as well as the opportunity to use state of the art, music production, DJ, VJ, film and video software.
If you are in a band, are interested in film, video, DJing, making a radio programme or podcast or making any kind of music then this is an ideal opportunity for you. There are three modules involved and these are outlined below. The cost of the summer camp is €30 per participant.
Moving Still: Using photography, movie making, editing, video projection, VJing, art and composition this will show you how to get the best out of your visual ideas.
Teen Spirit: This module will be looking at different methods of recording music and words, with the emphasis on demonstration and using a hands-on approach to cover the recording process.
Tech Knowledge: Learn new or improve your current Djing skills and get hands on insights into computer based music composition and performance.
