Globfest Youth Arts Festival Cork: 11th-16th July 2011

Globalfest Youth Arts Festival brings together a range of events and projects by and for young people. It includes workshops, a seminar, interactive activities gigs and exhibitions.

This year is the 4th year hosting this annual youth art festival and it focuses on participation of youth as active local and global citizens. The festival engages the public with positive messages about the idea of “belonging”. Globalfest is coordinated by the youth arts and global education programme of Mayfield Arts. Many groups from Cork city will be involved in creating and presenting work in Globalfest and visiting artist from Columbia Julian Urrego will be facilitating workshops and activities as part of the programme.
