Made in Temple Bar, The Street Art Experience: 13th – 17th July 2011
So you think you can tag? Then join Made in Temple Bar’s street art crew! Deep underneath Meeting House Square, a treasure trove of ancient artefacts have been discovered. Inspired by the find and this year’s 3D cinema sensation, Cave of Forgotten Dreams (about the ancient Chauvet cave drawings).
They are looking for a team of committed young artists to bring this discovery to life and transform the Square’s hoarding into a piece of street art, reflecting Dublin life past, present and future. You will work with visual artists Re-Ink-Our-Nation to create this large scale public mural.
Think you can do it? We need artists who love art, drawing, painting, graffiti, who can commit to 5-days of outdoor graffiti work, rain or shine, who can work collaboratively as part of a large team and are 10-14 years old. This workshop is free for all participants.
If you’d like to become part of this crew, please send one example of your artwork* to:schools@irishfilm.ie or by post to IFI Education, 6 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. For more information phone Baz or Dee on (01) 612 9436 or (01) 612 9445
*Do not send originals as work will not be returned.
