Rialto Youth Project: Community Youth Worker Sought

The Rialto Youth Project is now looking to fill the position of community youth worker with a person of leadership and vision. The Project invites applications for the following full time post: Community Youth Worker (Maternity Cover) Respect for the innate abilities and life experiences of young people inform a range of working methodologies and programme responses through the arts / cultural and recreational processes - among others – which are designed to suit the individual needs of young people and in particular those most at risk. CDYSB salary scale applies and interviews to be held on Tuesday 19th July 2011. The closing date for applications is 5pm on the 8th July 2011.     

Youth arts can broadly be defined as young people taking part voluntarily in creative, cultural or expressive activity outside of the formal education process. It can encompass participation and appreciation, as well as engagement with arts work specifically created by, with or for young people.
