Celebrating Your Youth Arts Projects with Nick Mack, Creative Edge - Thursday 15th December

In the last in this four-part professional development series, Nick Mack will lead a session based around evaluating, documenting and celebrating youth arts activities with young people. The workshop will give participants an opportunity to explore how evaluation can be a valuable means to appreciate and communicate what has been achieved in youth arts activities and the difference that they make,  as well as helping in planning future projects and in sharing good practice. Nick will outline a new initiative NYCI is embarking upon to design and share some easy but powerful tools which could help projects as a whole ‘make the case’ for youth arts in a difficult funding environment. The session will offer an opportunity for dialogue around issues and ideas for evaluation, including the participation of young people in the evaluation as part of celebration, enabling participants to see real possibilities for including evaluation as a positive reflection and lobbying tool in their practice.
