Springboard Wider Horizons Programme 2012

Recruitment for Wider Horizons 2012 has commenced. The following opportunities may be of interest to readers of Youth Arts News who meet the criteria below:

If you:

  • Are aged between 18 and 28
  • Live in Dublin City
  • Are receiving either a JA or a JB payment
  • Have not completed your education beyond Leaving Cert
  • Are willing and able to travel (weekly to Belfast) for training and overseas for work placement.  

The following programmes have been scheduled for 2012:

  • Youth in the Community – Poland/Germany           16th Jan 2012
  • Sports Coaching – Kitchener, Canada                  30th Jan 2012
  • Music Production & Promotion, London, UK         6th Feb 2012
  • Film/Animation to Vancouver, Canada                  30th Jul 2012

Youth arts can broadly be defined as young people taking part voluntarily in creative, cultural or expressive activity outside of the formal education process. It can encompass participation and appreciation, as well as engagement with arts work specifically created by, with or for young people.
