'Tea & Technique' - Working with an Artist in Youth Work Settings with Nichola Mooney from Rialto Youth Project - Thursday 1st December
In the third of this four-part professional development series, NYCI’s Arts Programme will facilitate a conversation between Nichola Mooney, youth worker and Fiona Whelan, artist, who have been working together with young people from Rialto Youth Project in Dublin for eight years. For the first hour of the session, Nichola and Fiona will discuss their most recent work as part of What's the Story? Collective focusing particularly on the relationship between artists, youth workers and young people, the collaborative process and the issues that emerged when the art work was taken outside of a local context. They will also talk about issues of sustainability in an art project and will identify the key features of their long term collaboration.
