Temporary Youth Worker - Arts

Ballymun Regional Youth Resource is a professional youth work organisation working for the welfare and development of all 10-21 year-old young people in the area. 

 

BRYR is seeking a dynamic Youth Worker - Arts who is committed to Youth Work and has a creative approach to working with young people.The person will have the ability to lead and supervise the work of our arts groups in a demanding Youth Work environment. The core arts skills required are in the area of fine arts and this will absorb most of the contact work. Other arts skills may be utilised

 

This is a part-time (25 hrs per week) temporary maternity cover position, starting mid-September 2010.

 

A professional qualification in youth & community work or an equivalent professional qualification and three years experience working with young people in a youth work setting or three years experience full time in a youth work capacity, is essential.

Experience in facilitating and developing Fine Arts projects with young people is also necessary.

Reporting directly to the Senior Youth Worker, the Youth Worker- Arts will be part of the Groups & Arts Team.

This is an opportunity to be part of a busy and dynamic community team delivering services to young people.

Weekend and evening work will be required.

CDYSB Youth Worker scale applies.
