We are delighted to be teaming up with Techspace and Young Irish Filmmakers to bring you the NYCI Youth Arts Programme Summer School 2017 Conquer Your Fear: Creative Digital Technology and Youth Work!

This year we're bringing together youth workers, volunteers and youth arts practitioners in the beautiful surrounds of Kippure, County Wicklow, to look at new skills for delivering creative activities using new technologies – and the confidence to use them. No previous experience necessary!

If you think you need to know more about all things digital, and would like to bring technology-enhanced activities spanning electronics, robotics and digital filmmaking into your youth work then book your place now!

There are early bird rates available, and those booking the 'Making' and Digital Technology workshops get a 'maker-kit' to bring back to their organisations worth €250. Find out more here.

When: Tuesday, 30th May 2017-Thursday 1st June 2017
Where: Kippure Adventure Centre, Wicklow

We look forward to seeing you at the end of May for what promises to be one of our most exciting summer schools to date!

Training for youth workers and youth arts practitioners is an important part of what NYCI’s Arts Programme does. Courses are designed to respond to the identified needs of youth workers and youth arts practitioners in working with young people. Our training courses are delivered by professional arts facilitators with extensive experience of working with young people. Our aim is to support individuals and organisations in developing the particular skills and experience needed to deliver successful arts-based projects and programmes with young people.

This is done through: the NUI Certificate in Youth Arts and other scheduled training events.
