Winter Events at The Ark
Whether you love puppets, performing or just curling up with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate, we've something for everyone aged 2-12 at The Ark this winter.
Mamó Midwinter puppet theatre - Sat 3 Dec & Sat 17 Dec (Ages 6-7):
Puppeteer and founder of Púca Puppets Niamh Lawlor leads a winter-themed puppet-making and performance workshop, assisted by Emma Fisher. Meet puppet Mamó Midwinter, who is trying to bring winter to The Ark, but is struggling because all of her winter elves, fairies and imps have gone astray! Experience the long-established art of puppet-making and make your own rod puppet, before joining Mamó in the performance area to create a winter scene. Tickets €10/ €8
Welcoming Winter performance workshop for toddlers - Sat 10 Dec/ Sat 17 Dec (Ages 2-3):
Toddlers will enjoy exploring a wintery theme in this active and imaginative workshop. After listening to a short story about winter, the children will be encouraged to bring it to life through sound, movement, exploration and sensory play. We suggest that you might like to familiarize your child with the winter story featured in advance, by downloading it from this page.Tickets €10/ €8
Cosy Corner - Sat 3 Dec/ Sat 10 Dec/ Sat 17 Dec (For all the family):
Drop in to our Cosy Corner over the winter weekends, where you can borrow a book from the mini library, curl up in one of our cosy spaces and enjoy a hot chocolate. Free entry on a first come first served basis.
