Your Europe, Your Say:
On 26-28 April 2012, more than 100 students and teachers from schools in every country in the European Union will enjoy an experience to remember, as the guests of the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels. For two remarkable days they will become ‘extraordinary members’ of the EESC. For the third year running, the EESC is organising a simulated plenary session, at the heart of Europe, where school pupils and their teachers will debate, negotiate, and thrash out consensus just as the real Committee does.
Now’s your chance to take part! The deadline for applications is Wednesday 30th November, and the lucky candidates will be selected at random in December 2011. Then, three students and one teacher from each school will be invited to Brussels to express their views on the important choices facing Europe today, and to put forward their ideas and proposals, plans and dreams. You’ll be able to meet and share experiences with your contemporaries from all over Europe. Students not selected to come to Brussels will be able to follow events via the internet and the Facebook page "Your Europe, Your Say". So ask your teacher to enter your school for "Your Europe, Your Say" today!
