'Where to Now?' - Empowering Young People Through Information
A one day conference on 22 June to exchange ideas on current trends affecting young people in Ireland including unemployment, migration, and new media, amongst others issues.
This conference is a joint initiative of Eurodesk and Youth Information Centres for organizations and people working with young people in Ireland.
Taking place in the National College of Ireland, Dublin on 22 June from 9.30am to 4.00pm. One of the concerns and aims of the conference is around the notion that young people have a right to, and a need for information. Participants will have a unique opportunity to explore the tools and services that are available for young people to access information, including opportunities to work and learn in Europe.
Key speakers include:Mary Cunningham, NYCI; Maurice Devlin, NUI Maynooth; Fergus Finlay, Barnardos; and Anja Ruhland, Eurodesk Brussels Link. The moderator on the day is Michael McLaughlin, Youth Work Ireland.

There is no participation fee for this conference: the working breakfast, lunch, refreshments and workshops are free of charge, however places are limited and will be distributed on a first-come first-served principle.
